In the first two years of CA21114, Working Group 4 has focused on the creation of two survey instruments that explore the extramural digital practices of CLIL learners outside of school and the digital practices of teachers in CLIL classrooms.
Our surveys were pan-European in nature and while providing us with a unique opportunity to gather a vast amount of data on this theme, the process also had its challenges. As researchers, we have reflected on these challenges and created a podcast series to document our journey.
In this series we consider how we came to develop our research questions as such a large group, how we created a multilingual survey with such a large group of researchers working at a distance, how we administered surveys in school settings and dealt with different sets of ethical conditions as well as what we have learnt as researchers during this process.
There are 10 episodes in total, which can be listened to in the order that they are presented, following our journey, or at random based on the topics that interest you the most. We feel that this series is not only useful to those engaged in research of this type but also anyone who is involved in a Cost Action currently.
