Science Communication team
Aug 15, 2024

The "Multiliteracies in CLIL" conference, held from August 11-16, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, gathers educators and researchers to explore the integration of content and language learning across disciplines. The event opened on August 14, 2024, with an introduction by Ana Llinares and Julia Huttner, followed by panels focusing on the development and assessment of bi/multilingual disciplinary literacies in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) contexts. Key topics include the application of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the role of extramural digital practices, and the transformation of pedagogy through multiliteracies. Interactive discussions after each session provide opportunities for deeper engagement with the presented ideas. The conference promises to offer valuable insights into how educators can foster richer, more meaningful learning experiences through a multiliteracies approach.
