Mária Bakti, Science Communication Coordinator and of CLIL NetLE presented her CLIL NetLE –

related talk at the Budapest International Conference on Education at the Technical University of

Budapest on 28 November, 2024.

In her talk, entitled Developing bilingual disciplinary literacies in Geography CLIL programs, she

defined disciplinary literacies based on CLIL NetLE WG1 ‘s conceptualization, then presented the

results of a Cognitive Discourse Functions (Dalton-Puffer 2013)-specific analysis of the Hungarian

framework curricula for Geography. The talk closed with outlining the practical applications of the

results, including study materials design and the development of teacher training materials.
